Pitch’N Slide is a new outdoor game invented and designed by John Steele. The idea for the game came from playing outdoor games hours on end with friends and becoming tired of the same old games. He took some lumber from his shed, started placing pieces together, and game up with an initial design. From the design, he then started trying to work on a system of scoring and playing that would not only be competitive, but playable for all ages as he had young children that liked to play along as well with the outdoor games. After days and weeks of trying new ways to score and play, he came up with a game design and gameplay that incorporated aspects of many of the games played today to include “Cornhole”, “Plinko”, “Bag-O”, “Shuffleboard”, etc.
The initial game design was first built in 2014 and most of the initial design is used today in the submitted patent. Initially, the game boards were painted with chalk paint to write in and score any way he wanted as he tested the scoring methods and game play. Today, the game is a little smaller, lighter, and presents a professional look as if designed and created by a large manufacturer. In fact, as of this point, all the games sets are still made by John with a little help from friends and neighbors along the way.
